Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the creating process of simulacre generation and the characteristics of hyper-reality through screen baseball experience of male university students. Qualitative research was adopted for this. The research environment was the R screen baseball field located in the B district of D city. 7 male university students were selected as the final research participants. Data collection focused on partial participation observation, in - depth interview, content analysis, and a field survey. The data were analyzed by Creswell’s (2013) five - step qualitative data analysis method. The results of this study were as follows. First, the creating process of simulacre was deduced from screen baseball imitated baseball, the only interest of screen baseball, actually experienced by screen baseball, the meaning of the screen baseball irrelevant with baseball. Second, the characteristics of hyper reality from the experience of screen baseball by male university students was irrelevant to actuality, those meanings appeared: new contents, always open, the creation of virtual reality sports league, modern indoor activity, the meaning of new sports.

Abstract
This study aims to examine the process of disempowerment experienced by student-athletes as they become an athletic team member. It seems that becoming student-athletes is the result of team identity formation. This process of team identity formation involves student-athletes’internationalization of disempowerment. Student-athletes have to learn and accept their roles as a team member, and by the process they gradually become submissive to the dominant coercive and controlling team culture, and then become disempowered. Also, the process of team identity formation reinforces and prioritizes the role of student-athletes and eventually by the process student-athletes experience excessively immersing in their athlete identity. More often than not, this process of identity committment results in athletic role engulfment, and further leads to the formation of athletic hubris as a committed team member.

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the possibility of post-feminism to interpret the dominant body discourses produced by the experiences of female athletes who participate in bikini session of Body Fitness competitions. To do this, this study focused more on discussing ambivalence on female body discourses that have been claimed from the second feminist perspective and post-feminist perspective. To achieve the goal, three significant discourses on the body has been categorized by conducting in-depth interview with six female athletes. First discourse is an emergence of hybrid body, which is generated from the negotiation between feminism and capitalism. Second, the experience on athletes’ body-shaping should be regarded as an empowerment, not as a passive or forced behavior. Third, athletes’ body-shaping could be interpreted as a cultural capital in concurrent labor market. Based on these results, this study concluded with possibilities that the post-feminism could be a useful theoretical lens to examine the significant gap such as the contemporary characteristics and complex dimensions on the female body and its experience, which the second feminism has neglected to interpret.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among emotional intelligence, exercise passion, and sport commitment of physical education high school athletes. Through convenience sampling method, selected 235survey questionnaires were used for final analysis from physical education high school athletes. With the collected data multiple regression analysis were performed by SPSS 20.0. The results of the analysis were summarized as follows. First, the appraisal in others, utilize emotion, and appraisal in self impacts positively(+) influence on harmonious passion, and the utilize emotion and social skill impacts positively(+) influence on obsessive passion. And the appraisal in others, utilize emotion, appraisal in self, and social skill impacts positively(+) influence on cognitive commitment, and the appraisal in others, utilize emotion, and social skill impacts positively(+) influence on behavioral commitment. Second, the harmonious passion and obsessive passion impacts positively(+) influence on cognitive commitment and behavioral commitment. Third, the exercise passion was revealed to function as a mediator on the relationship between emotional intelligence and sport commitment.

Abstract
This study explored the conceptual structure of sport character in golf perceived by youth golfers and coaches. 10 participants including 6 juvenile golf players (2 males and 4 females) and 4 male coaches were participated in this study. Data were collected through observation and depth interview. The raw data were categorized into three domains on the basis of morality, sociablity, and emotion. First, the sport characters perceived by youth golfers were classified as follows. In the case of moral aspect, sportsmanship, faithfulness, rule compliance, and accountability were recognized. Regarding social aspect, greetings, consideration, interpersonal relationship, communication, empathy, camaraderie were observed and in emotional dimension, emotional demonstrative apperception, emotion control, and self-respect were included. Second, the sport character derived from the coaches were categorized in different classification. In morality realm it was categorized as sportspersonship, attitude, and courtesy. In the domain of sociability, manner, interpersonal relationship, communication, resolution could be observed. In the emotional region, it was categorized as self-direction, self-management, perseverance, and emotional control (positive thought). In conclusion, the findings of this study can be provided advantageous information on the educational field by identifying the discrepancy in viewpoints of the player and the coach.

Abstract
This study was to investigate the effects of bilateral training through contextual interference on upper-limb motor ability of chronic stroke patients. Fifteen chronic stroke patients were randomly assigned to a control group, a block group, and a random group. In 8 weeks, multi-functional motion tester and Jebsen-Taylor hand function upper limb tester were used. Bilateral Training task involved repetitive practice of two tasks by bilateral arm training with visual cueing and finger climbing instrument. The conclusions of experiment, reaction time was improved in the random group, though the groups did not show significant difference. Second, contextual interference groups showed improvement in movement time compared to the control group, especially the random group showed the most improved. Third, the contextual interference group was improved in the Jebsen-Taylor hand function upper limb test and the more to the point, the random group was significantly improved than other groups. These results are applied to interference through the training context can be seen as having a positive effect on motor function recovery of upper extremity injury side of stroke patients.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between perceived coach-athlete relationship, sports anger, and aggressive behavior in adolescent athletes. The conceptual model of this study assumed that coach-athlete relationship would affect sport anger and that it would, in turn, affect aggressive behavior through the sport anger. A total of 274 Korean adolescent athletes from 6 sports participated in this study (Mage=17.50 years, SD=3.91). The participants completed four questionnaires: a demographic questionnaire, Coach-Athlete Relationship Questionnaire, Multidimensional Sport Anger Scale, and Short Version of Competitive Aggressiveness Scale. The results of the final model indicated that perceived coach-athlete relationship was negatively related to sport anger (-.246). Sport anger was significantly related to competitive aggressive (.272). Coach-athlete relationship was significantly related to competitive aggressive (-.268). Significant indirect effect were observed. The bootstrapping results indicated that the relationship between coach-athlete relationship and competitive aggressive was mediated by sport anger. The findings of this study contribute to the current understanding of the relationship between perceived coach-athlete relationship and competitive aggressive and shed light on the important roles of sport anger.

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating role of psychological needs (need satisfaction and need frustration) in the relations between teachers’ relatedness support and three types of leisure-time physical activity (LTPA) motivation―namely autonomous motivation, controlled motivation, and amotivation in physical education (PE) setting. Guided by theoretical principles, we also tested the moderated effect of relatedness support on the relation between psychological need and leisure-time physical activity motivation. A sample of 223 middle and high school students in Seoul, age 13-17 years, reported their perception of teacher relatedness support, psychological need experiences in PE, and LTPA motivation. The results showed that teachers relatedness support was related to psychological need satisfaction (but not psychological need frustration) and LTPA motivation. Specifically, relatedness support positively predicted LTPA autonomous motivation and negatively predicated LTPA amotivation mediated by psychological need satisfaction. Even though need frustration was not predicted directly by relatedness support, it positively predicted LTPA controlled motivation and amotivation. For moderating analyses, relatedness support was moderated in the relation between need satisfaction and autonomous motivation as well as the relations between need frustration and controlled motivation and amotivation toward LTPA. In conclusion, PE teacher relatedness support plays important role in terms of enhancing students’ LTPA motivation by increasing students’ need satisfaction.

Abstract
This study was to explore the contribution of exercise in physical health, psychological health, social health, and personal growth which are compositions of multidimensional successful aging of elderly women. For this study, seven 60’s elderly women, who had been participating in various exercises, participated in Photovoice. Photovoice was composed of Photovoice action, Focus Group Interview(FGI), contextualizing, and codifying themes. FGI was conducted based on SHOWeD technique. Also, Participatory Data Analysis(PDA) was used to examine data collected through Photovoice. As the first result, exercise contributes to physical health through an improvement of physical function and an alleviation of chronic disease and, they become the fundamental of successful aging. Second, exercise contributes to psychological health by making elderly women experience positive emotions and psychological youthfulness, and they become the motive of successful aging. Third, exercise contributes to social health by promoting social interactions and restoring their marital bonds, and they become the support of successful aging. Last, exercise leads to personal growth by recovering the meaning of life and promoting self improvement, and they become the steppingstone of successful aging. This study shows that exercise positively contributes to elderly women’s multidimensional successful aging. Also, it demonstrates a possibility that exercise can be an action plan for multidimensional successful aging.

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find the relationship among health fitness, academic achievement, and Grit of male high school (MHS) students, also focus on obtaining implications for physical education class. To accomplish these goals, 873 of MHS students in the Seoul area were participated in surveys; based on this collected data - health fitness scores, grades, and Grit results-, descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, one - way ANOVA, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were implemented by using the PASW 18.0 statistical program, also AMOS 18.0 program was used for path analysis. The results were following: first, the physical fitness of MHH students was found to be decreased as their grade increased; second, there was no difference in Grit results among those MHS students’ grades; third, there was no relationship between physical fitness and MHS students’ grades; fourth, health fitness of students was found to affect Grit; fifth, it was confirmed that Grit affects MHS students’ grades directly; sixth, Grit mediated the relationship between health fitness and grades. From the results, study discussed about the value of improving the level of physical education class contents, raising level of Grit by physical education class, and learning the non- cognitive personality characteristics in physical education class.

Abstract
Specialized content knowledge (SCK) is comprised of knowledge of errors and instructional tasks and is the core of how to teach the activity. The purpose of this study was to analyze the SCK of rhythmic gymnastics coaches. Specific research questions were: (1) How do novice and expert coaches’ errors detection differ? (2) How do novice and expert coaches’ instructional tasks differ? Eight rhythmic gymnastics coaches including novice (n=4) and expert (n=4) participated in this study. The FIG scoring system and content map (Ward et al., 2015) were used to collect the coach’s SCK. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Findings showed that: (1) novice coaches were more accurate in errors detection than experts coaches; (2) Both novice and expert coaches were low in SCK scores; (3) Coaches used informing tasks more frequently than any other categories of content developments. Coaches were different in using extending and refining tasks. This finding suggests that rhythmic gymnastics coaches need educational program that can improve SCK.

Abstract
Virtual Reality Spectatorship (VRS) is becoming an emerging sport media consumption trend as it delivers such optimal experience that maximizes user satisfaction. However, there is a common belief that virtual reality is a lonely space because it cuts the user off from everyone else. Arguing against this common belief, the purpose of the present study was to examine the impact of VRS on satisfaction via telepresence and social needs fulfillment and investigate its conditional effect depending on the level of sport involvement. The results of an experimental study showed that VRS (M = 5.04) provides a higher level of telepresence than the traditional sport media consumption using a 2-D screen (M = 2.89). The results also showed that VRS significantly enhances spectatorship satisfaction via telepresence and social needs fulfillment (serial indirect effect = 0.272; 95% CI [.038 to .623]). Meanwhile, sport viewers’ sport involvement was found to enhance spectatorship satisfaction (β = .55, p < .001) as well. Lastly, sport involvement moderated the serial indirect effect of VRS on satisfaction via telepresence and social needs fulfillment (β = -.72, p < .001). In conclusion, VRS enhances spectatorship satisfaction by fulfilling social needs through telepresence, and such effect is stronger for those who are less interested in the target sport than highly involved sport fans.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to identify first the affect of weather on the number of spectators for professional soccer games and then to determine the appropriate price for a weather derivative for the pertinent weather factor so that professional soccer teams may actively manage weather risks. The subjects included 2,135 K League games held in 17 venues between 2008 and 2017, and data included game related data from the Korean Football Association and weather related data from the Korea Meteorological Administration. Analysis included descriptive analysis, regression analysis, calculation using the Wang transform model and Monte Carlo simulation, and the results are as follows: First, not only temperature, precipitation, wind velocity, humidity, sand dust affect number of spectators, the affect of the same weather factor differs according to time before game start. Second, the affect of weather differ according to venue, but affect of temperature and precipitation is relatively higher such that temperature is an appropriate asset for a weather derivative. Third, for Incheon Stadium which is located in a metropolitan area and has a relatively large number of spectators, the number is predicted to reduce by 58% if the temperature is within 15-20 degrees, and it probability of happening was calculated to be 18.14%. By applying a 12000won ticket price, appropriate compensation was calculated at 6,536,810won. So upon considering the soccer club’s risk level preference. the appropriate price for temperature based weather derivative was calculated to be annually between 2,970,000won and 5,800,000won.

Abstract
This study aims to analyze the relationship among emotional labor, Job burnout, and organizational citizenship behavior(OCB) of yoga instructors. Especially, we focused on the mediating effect of job burnout between emotional labor and OCB. A total of 250 questionnaires were distributed and 221 were returned for final analysis. In order to verify the hypothesis, structural equation modeling was conducted using AMOS 23.0. The results of this study were as follows: First, surface acting had a positive effect on job burnout, but deep acting had no significant effect on job burnout. Second, job burnout had a negative effect on OCB. Third, Surface acting had no effect on OCB, but deep acting had a positive effect on OCB. Last, the relationship between surface acting and OCB was perfectly mediated by job burnout, however there was no mediating effect of job burnout between deep acting and OCB.

Abstract
The goal of this study was to identify the relationship among leisure satisfaction, stress-related growth and quality of life for Korean university students who regularly participate in leisure clubs. To achieve the purpose of this study, a total of 509 questionnaires were collected from Korean university students. The collected data were analyzed and interpreted by SPSS 24 and AMOS 20.0. For the analysis, frequency analysis, validity test, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis and structural equation model analysis were performed. The results of this study are as follows. First, leisure satisfaction was significantly related to stress-related growth. Second, stress-related growth had a significant relationship with quality of life. Third, leisure satisfaction and quality of life were significantly related. Fourth, stress-related growth was found to have a mediating effect between leisure satisfaction and quality of life. In conclusion, to university students’ quality of life, need to increase not university students’ leisure satisfaction but stress-related growth.

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to test the mediating effect of coping plan and action plan in the relation between leisure-time physical activity(LTPA) intention and exercise behavior and to extend the literature in theory of planned behavior. We examined the mediating role of implementation plan―namely coping plan and action plan in the effect of intention to physical activity on exercise behavior. To attain the goal of study, we asked collegiate students (n=253; male=118, female=105) report their intention toward LTPA, coping plan, action plan, and self-reported exercise behavior. Collected data was analyzed using statistical program software (i.e., SPSS, AMOS) for SEM and mediation analyses. The results revealed that intention toward LTPA was positively related to implementation plan (coping plan and action plan) and exercise behavior. Collegiate students’ intention toward LTPA positively predicted their exercise behavior mediated by implementation plans. Specifically, LTPA intention among collegiate students predicted their exercise behavior via coping plan and action plan. The findings showed that coping plan and action plan partially mediated in the relation between LTPA intention and exercise behavior. In conclusion, students’ intention to be getting physical active in leisure-time physical activity explains lifetime physical activity or the level of recent exercise behavior possibly via coping plan (e.g., how to overcome barriers to exercise) and action plan (e.g., when and where I exercise and get physically active). The conceptualization of coping plan and action plan in implementation plans and test of its model better to explain the intention-behavior gap would help exercise instructors or practitioners effectively develop their plans and strategies toward targeted exercise behavior.

Abstract
The advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution has brought a revolutionary changes in the healthcare industry based on ICT. This research focuses on Mibyung control as a fusion theme and aims to develop the contents of the elderly health exercise application applying Oriental medicine and Korean dance. For this purpose, 6 expert groups were selected and Delphi technique was implemented 3 times. The conclusion drawn is as follows. First, the components of the elderly health exercise for the Mibyung control were the meridian system flow, meridian point stimulation, foot step, upper body movement and Gupsin(Knee exercise). Second, the contents of the elderly health exercise application include 3 motions applying the meridian system flow and upper body movement and 4 motions applying meridian point stimulation and foot step and 1 motion applying Gupsin(Knee exercise), 8 motions in total. Third, a plan to develop the future elderly health exercise application is presented.

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the identity of dragon dance found in the Chung won region. The commission conducted research on collecting and analyzing literature related to dragon dance activities in the Chungwon region. The results are as follows. The formation of dragon dance characteristics in the Chungwon region was closely related to the geographical environment and the long-standing cultural inertia of the agricultural economy. Chungwon culture is practical, open, receptive and innovative. Dragon dance in the Chungwon region was found in Fuyang, Maju, Cheongpung. The realization of cultural identity is what preserves one’s own cultural system and shows harmony between mental appearance and national emotion. Thus, all classical things are challenged by modern culture. The functional form of the restoration and the functional form of the dress have been reversed. In other words, the substitution phenomenon that is mentioned in the anthropology has occurred. Cultural traditions are not following the same pattern but are developing and continuously innovating traditional cultures.

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to systematically explore the competency functions as a teaching and learning method and to provide a practical application plan based on this. For this purpose, literature review and expert meeting were conducted and inductive category analysis was conducted. First, as a result of exploring competency functions, the concept of competency function newly introduced in the curriculum to realize competency centered education was able to rediscover the concrete goal of competence education and the value of teaching learning method. In addition, it has become possible to provide concrete teaching and learning methods by exploring the detailed elements of the competence functions of inquiring, expressing, appreciating, and communicating. Second, as a result of exploring the application method of competency function, it suggested a method of linking the competence function as a teaching and learning method with contents elements presented in the expression activity curriculum. In addition, I suggested a method of realizing it by teaching plan and teaching and learning activities, and implemented a practical example of the class plan. Based on this, I proposed the development and execution of programs, the development and sharing of teaching and learning materials, and the activation of teacher education for the competency centered activity classes.

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of the complex cognitive enhancement program on the risk factors of dementia for elderly women. For this, 25 elderly women aged 65 or above have been randomly assigned to the experiment group (n=13) and the control group (n=12), excluding those who take medication for dementia or who were diagnosed with dementia following the mono-mental state examinations. The experiment group was instructed to engage in the complex cognitive enhancement program comprised of six subdomains of cognitive function plus exercise with frequency of twice a week, 90 minutes per session (45 minutes: cognitive program, 45 minutes: exercise program) for 12 weeks in total while the control group was told to follow the instructions of the same program comprised of six subdomains of cognitive function only with the same period and duration as those of the experiment group. The measurement items before and after the implementation of the program include the mini-mental status examination optimized for screening dementia(MMSE-DS), geriatric depression scale(GDS) and the blood lipid and cholesterol levels (TC, TG, LDL-C, and HDL-C). The study has calculated the means and standard deviations for all experimental variables obtained through the experimental process using the SPSS/PC Ver 18.0. Analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) has been used to verify the differences between the groups in consideration of the effect of continuous variable with the significance level of .05. This research analysis has found that the program has a positive effect on enhancing the mini-mental status examination optimized for screening dementia (MMSE-DS), geriatric depression scale(GDS) and TG and LDL-C among the blood lipid and cholesterol levels of the experiment group.

The purpose of this study was to analyze effects of 12 weeks dance sports on body composition, irisin, adiponectin and blood lipids in obesity elderly women. The subjects were 26 obesity elderly women who do not have medically problems. The subjects randomly assigned to two groups; dance sports exercise(n=13), control(n=13). The subjects in dance sports group were participated for 60 minutes/day with two times/wk for 12 weeks, whereas subjects in control group were asked to maintain normal lifestyle during the same intervention period.
The results of the present study showed that the blood irisin was significantly increased in the exercise group. The blood adiponectin level tended to increase in the exercise gorup. The blood lipids, TG and LCL-C were significantly decreased in the exercise group. The TC was slightly decreased, and the HDL-C was slightly increased.
In conclusion, low irisin and adiponectin level in obese people have a positive effect on obese elderly women after dance sports. Therefore, exercise is thought to be good for the care of elderly obesity.

Abstract
This study was to investigate the relationship between discus throwing performance and technical factors of male throwing athletes in middle school. For this purpose, we performed kinematical analysis on the top eight ranked men who entered the finals of the 47th national boys’ athletics competition and the 8 lower ranking men who did not enter the final finals.
The t-test was conducted to investigate the kinematic differences according to the upper and lower ranking levels. Pearson correlation analysis was conducted to investigate the relationship between official distance(game records) and technical factors. The results of the study showed that the difference between the upper and lower ranking levels was due to differences in the horizontal velocities(p<.01), the vertical velocities(p<.05), the resultant velocities(p<.001), the separation angle of the hip and shoulder at the left foot planting(p<.01), the left knee angle at the release, and the maximum angular velocity of the arm at the delivery(p <.05). The correlation between the official distance and the technical factors was found in height(p<.05), disk horizontal velocity(p <.01), vertical velocity(P <.05), resultant velocity(p <.01), hip and shoulder separation angle at right foot down(p <.05), left knee angle at release(p <.01), and angular velocity of arm at release(p <.01). In order to improve the performance of middle school male discus players, they must concentrate on these technical factors.

Scale Development for Youth Obesity Prevention and Unified Validity Test through the Health Belief Model-Ⅰ 건강신념모형을 적용한 청소년 비만예방척도개발과 통합적 타당도검증-Ⅰ
The purpose of the present study is to apply a health belief model to the serious perception of an increase in youth obesity, and to develop and validate a measurement tool for youth obesity prevention among this group who are experiencing increasing rates of obesity. The specific goals of this study are to 1) apply a health belief model to develop a measurement tool for obesity prevention among youth who are seeing rising rates of obesity, and 2) provide an integrated validation procedure and foundation for developing this measurement tool. A total of 1801 high school students[sample1: 902(male:464,female:438); sample2: 899(male:464,female:438)] were recruited and collected data from 12 high school in Seoul and Kyonggi area. For this study the analytic framework of unified validity was developed which can comprehensively reflect unified validity be Messick(1995), framework for conducting a strong program of construct validation by Benson(1998), the unified validity implementation method of Rasch model suggested by Wolfe and Smith(2007a, 2007b). Furthermore, after dividing the developed analytic framework into each stage(the substantive domain), the evidence of validity of Youth Obesity Prevention Scale(YOPS) applying Health Belief Model was systematically suggested. The YOPS suggested the evidence about the substantive domain of unified validity. The developed YOPS was consist of Susceptibility, Severity, Benefits, Barriers and Cues to Action. After 3 stage in substantive domain, the components of YOPS(5factors and 28items) satisfied the unidimensionality, and the 5 point Likert scale had the significant discrimination of the respondents’ response.

Abstract
The aim of the present study was to show enhancing racing strategy of the athletes participating in paralympic games of the 2015 World rowing championships. The study’s participations were the disabled athletes for all boats in heats and final races (n=23 boats for men, n=15 boats for women, n=15 boats for mix). Data from the games were analysed to determine the sector times for all of the four 250 m race quarters and to assess whether pacing patterns differ between heats and finals, and Winner boats and Other boats. The statistic method used by analysing of variance with repeated measures revealed that the times of 4 quarters. According to the results, the sector times of the Winner boats were significantly shorter than the other boats; boats of man, woman and mix(p<.05), irrespective of race type. Pacing patterns for boats of men were the Q1 times were the shortest and the Q4 times were longer than others(p<.05) and for the mix boats were the Q2 times were the shortest and the Q4 times were longer than others(p<.05). As a results, the rowing disabled athletes of the Korean national team should need to strategy for prevention of reduced specific sector and training.
The Effect of Physical Activity Participation on Subjective Health Assessment of People with Depressive Disorder 우울장애인의 신체활동 참여가 주관적 건강평가에 미치는 영향

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for health promotion of people with depressive disorder by examining the effect of physical activity participation on the subjective health status of people with depressive disorder. To achieve this goal, Data from the National Health and Nutrition Survey from 2007 to 2015 was analyzed. The subjects of the study were 1,673 (unweighted cases) who answered that they were depressed when they were 19 years old or older. The variables of the study were frequency of participation and subjective health status by type of physical activity (walking, strength, flexibility). The data were analyzed using the SPSS 18.0 program using the composite sample design frequency analysis and the Complex Sample General Linear Model. Statistical significance was set at p <.05. The results of the study are as follows. First, there is a difference in the subjective health assessment of male depressed people who are not participating in the walking exercise and male depressed people who participate more than 5 days. Second, there is a difference in the subjective health assessment of male depressed persons who are not participating in the strength exercise and male depressed persons who participate for 3 to 4 days. Third, there is a difference in the subjective health assessment of male depressed persons who are not participating in the flexibility exercise and male depressed persons who participate more than 5 days in 1 to 2 days. Fourth, there is a difference in the subjective health evaluation of women with depressive disorder who do not participate in walking exercise and women with depressive disorder who participated in 1 to 2 days.

The purpose of this study was to compare the level of appearance satisfaction, body type recognition, and subjective health condition in Korean and Japanese female college students by diet behavior. The results of this study are as followed. First, the reasons for diet behavior were ‘to look slim, to weight gain, to another’s point out’. Japanese female college students were more affected than Korean female college students in ‘TV, magazine, sleek models, friends’ recommendation, weight gain or another’s point out, financial spending such as food and clothing’. Second, the degree of satisfaction about the whole body was showed. In both Korean and Japanese female college students, that no diet experience group was higher than other groups. The degree of satisfaction with the face was in all groups, Korean female college students were more satisfied than Japanese female college students. Third, the degree of obsession about weight loss during body type recognition was showed in the order of diet, diet experience, and no diet experience group, and Korean female college students were higher than Japanese female college students. In case of the degree of inferiority complex about body types, Japanese female college students feel inferior more than Korean female college students. Fourth, the subjective health status level about the body’s tiredness, headache, dizziness, and numbness, the level of digestive trouble, the level of heart trouble, and the level of redness and skin trouble, Korean female college students was lower than Japanese female college students.
